Nigel is Place Funding Manager for Staffordshire Council leading a team of bidding experts whose role is to apply for EU and UK funding to support projects and activities that contribute to the economic and social growth of Stoke on Trent & Staffordshire. This involves working with key government departments such as BIS, DWP and DCLG and other national funding providers including the Big Lottery.
Outside of work Nigel has been involved with the Stafford Town Dragons disability football team and in the past has had previous experience as a voluntary youth leader. Nigel’s interests include walking, music concerts, cinema and theatre, motorsport and following the Welsh Rugby Union Team whenever time permits. Having a son with a mild ASD condition, Nigel fully appreciates the challenges of young people to make their way in life including getting close to the job market!
