Penny’s work with children aged 0 to 5 over the past ten years has included a two year residency at a nursery in Birmingham, working with families and children in nurseries, schools and libraries, and delivering music sessions focussing on speech, language and communication skills as part of the Soundpots project.  She has provided training sessions and mentoring to EY practitioners and teachers and delivered Early Years music sessions at conferences in the Midlands and London.

She believes that engaging with children through supportive and creative musical play can have a profoundly positive effect on their well-being and development as well as their musical and creative skills.
