Xuan Lindenmeyer started music at the age of 4 with Hindustani and Karnatic violin under the tutelage of his father in India. He switched to jazz with the double bass and studied in England where he obtained a Master’s degree. He emerged on the English scene performing with the likes of Mike Walker and Matthew
Bourne in clubs such as Ronnie Scotts and Matt & Phreds and festivals such as Cheltenham, Edinburgh and Wigan. His musical exploration led him from dixieland to the shores of free jazz.
In 2004 he moved to France where he studied jazz and classical music at the conservatoire in Paris. He has worked and played with musicians such as Barre Philips, Thomas Pourquery, Michael Attias, Christophe Monniot, and the COAX collective. He has expanded his repertoire by participating in numerous projects ranging from jazz and rock through to classical and contemporary music and transfers that knowledge and experience as an Make Some Noise Music Leader.
