Make Some Noise has empowered over 100,000 vulnerable children and young people unlocked their extraordinary potential. The Board of Trustees are looking for a Volunteer Treasurer who passionate about our vision to empower every child and young person with self-belief to change their world for the better, giving all young people the future they deserve.
Our beneficiaries improve their wellbeing and unlock their potential through our Fun, Pioneering, Empowering and Inclusive creative programmes which run throughout Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent and the wider West Midlands.
We are looking for a person with a finance background to join our friendly and engaged Board of Trustees as a Treasurer and take an active part in the financial decision-making. The Board of Trustees would value your insight and hands-on support in providing financial oversight for the charity. The Treasurer will sit on the Board and chair the Business and Finance Sub Group (both meet quarterly). Although the CEO and the Accountant are responsible for producing the Management Accounts and any other financial reports, we are looking for a Treasurer who is willing to share tool and tips.
Do you have:
- Professional financial or accountancy qualifications or experience
- Experience of working within the charity sector and funding
- An understanding of commissioning and the community music sector
- Experience in Safeguarding children and young people
- Lived experience which can help you understand the importance of the work we do.
