Over the past few days we received advice from the Government on how business should prepare to support their employees’ return to work, and schools should prepare for opening. As a charity, we do not want to see vulnerable children and families struggle a day longer than is necessary; however the safety of beneficiaries and staff must be our prime responsibility when making any decisions. In response to the Government guidance and considering the implications for all our current projects, senior management have concluded that Make Some Noise is not in a position to make any changes to its current plan.

The team at Make Some Noise is working incredibly hard, and thanks to the provisions that had been put in place for remote working, we have been able to continue supporting disadvantaged children and families through digital delivery of some programmes. Unfortunately, the new guidance does not make it possible for us to restart regular, pre-lockdown, delivery of project work, as many of our partners, venues and settings still fall in to the “Businesses and venues that must remain closed to members of the public” category. Make Some Noise will continue to monitor Government advice on these guidelines and respond appropriately.

Once again, in these unprecedented times, we thank everyone for their continued support. We will continue to provide further updates as more guidance emerges.
